SMELL YOUR MEAL IN THE SUPERMARKET

What will we eat today? That is a question I wonder myself every day. My mood determines what I want to eat today. I thought of smells, when I for example walk along the Douglas, and smell the scents of perfume, is for me an attraction to buy a perfume.

I want to apply this at the food in the supermarket . If there is a particular department in the supermarket with the smell of food, my sense will like it or not. And then I know if I want to eat that kind of food or not.

My idea is to make, for example, samples of food on the food packets.

IPHONE 1000 SCENTS

Canadian technology firm, iScent Technologies have announced the imminent launch of its iScent App and accessory for Apple's popular iPod Touch and iPhone systems. The company claims that when the iScent device is plugged into the charge slot of the iPhone, it is capable of mimicking the scent of over 1,000 popular fragrances, which can be chosen from the iPhone application.

Spokesperson for the company, Avril Fische, said "In tests, members of the public had difficulty telling apart a genuine designer fragrance from the scent synthesized from the device. However true aficionado's may detect some variations."

Due to trademark restrictions iScent is unable to use the fragrances actual names and have given the fragrances alternate names. Fische added, "We hope to arrange licensing agreements with companies such as L'Oreal and Coty, but we are in the early days of this exciting journey."

As well as emulating the nicer fragrances, the device also has a range of alternate whiffs, which include - gym shoe, wet dog and new car smell.

This is not the first time digital scent technology has been used -- in 1999 a Californian company named DigiScents created a prototype product called iSmell - which would generate different smells dependent on which website you were visiting. Unfortunately it never made it past prototype stage and in 2006, PC World Magazine named it one of the worst 25 tech products of all time. Let's hope the iScent fares better!

The iScent device is expected to launch at a cost of $250, and will be available from most Apple stockists.

Wij hebben op dit probleem een andere oplossing gevonden, namelijk 2 massage-elementen die bestuurbaar zijn vanaf je ipod. Deze massage-elementen bevinden zich in de schouderruimte van het modieuze colbert. Je kan via de ipod de massage-apparaatjes gemakkelijk uit en aan zetten via je ipod, dus wanneer je op je werk bent wordt je 'onzichtbaar' gemasseerd, waardoor je minder rugklachten of nekklachten kan oplopen. Daarnaast is een colbert een kledingstuk wat je overal naartoe kan dragen.

Het colbert is in allerlei ontwerpen verkrijgbaar, zo komt er een herft-winter collectie en een lente-zomer collectie. Daardoor kan je lekker varieren en kan je het hele jaar door heerlijk gemasseerd worden wanneer je maar wilt.Daarnaast zijn er ook exclusievere modellen verkrijgbaar, welke zijn voorzien van decoratieve elementen.
